Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTL) has announced that all Tata Indicom subscribers would be migrated to Tata Docomo starting from tomorrow, i.e.21st October 2011.
The company has announced, however, that the migration of services in Dehi-NCR will be carried out at a later date and that the existing users would in no way be affected pending the planned migration.
The CDMA, GSM, 3G, and Photon services of Tata Indicom will be available under the Tata Docomo brand name from now on. Tata Docomo, thus, enters the CDMA market too now.
Yatish Mehrotra, Regional Head (South) of TTL said "Our new business approach gives TTL new strategic direction in the 'access, content and solutions' spaces, enabling the company to offer compelling propositions to customers in a market that has been witnessing far-reaching changes in terms of usage trends and customer preferences."
TTL has also announced the introduction of Photon Max under the Tata Docomo brand name. Photon Max, belonging to the high-peed mobile broadband services of TTL, works on the REV.B platform and is claimed to provide ultra-fast surfing speeds.
TTL has also announced that it would be investing substantially in its CDMA networks to upgrade its networks and expand its presence in the CDMA segment.
