Saif Ali Khan Is Not Against 'Aarakshan'

Saif Ali Khan said that he is not against reservation. Saif is portraying the role of a Dalit leader in Prakash Jha's upcoming controversial socio-political drama 'Aarakshan'. The movie is based on the caste-based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. The movie primarily focused on the implications of ‘Aarakshan’ and it’s affects on day to day lives.

"Before working on the movie I had anti-reservation view. I was against reservation in my mind. I felt that things should be done on level of merit. But after having done the movie I thought there is another insight to it that most people in our country are less privileged," Saif said.

The Censor Board had finally given a green signal to the film after long chit-chats with director. Politics has also taken the centre stage as many politicians have openly criticized and demanding a ban on the movie. The movie is scheduled to be released on Friday the 12th.

"Most people get chance like me but what about those talented and intelligent people in our country who don't get a chance...an opportunity. It is a unique problem. There should be some reservation I guess at school level but don't know how much per cent. Now whether reservation should be 50 per cent or how much per cent I don't know," Saif adds.
Along with Saif Ali, 'Aarakshan' also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar.
