KBC 2011 becomes the first non-fiction show to open above 5 TVR in Indian television history when it opens this week with above 5.24 TVR.
Kaun Banega Crorepati has once again emerged as India's preferred show with a chartbuster opening of 5.24 TVRs, in the top 3 metros Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata. It also catapulted Sony to the No.1 position in these 3 cities. Amitabh Bachchan’s charisma with audiences continues in the fifth season of the show.
The time slot of this season’s KBC has been changed to 8.30 pm from its original 9 pm slot and also the show's duration has increased from 1 hour to 1 ½ hours.
