Samsung to Ship Out Microsoft Mango Phone in October


World's second largest handset maker Samsung announced that it will launch its first smartphone based on Microsoft’s latest version of mobile operating system at end of October.

Samsung to roll out Omnia W, based on the latest release of Windows Phone, code-named Mango to Europe, CIS, Latin America, Africa, South East and South West Asia. Microsoft Mango Phone features a 3.7-inch AM-OLED display and a 1.4 GHz processor.






Samsung the top seller of Google's Android phones, will now also be running on Microsoft's software and its own proprietary "bada" software.

Samsung also launched two LTE versions of its Galaxy S 2 smartphones in South Korea on Monday to give solid challenge to Apple's iPhone.
