Alcohol Withdrawal May Cause the Death: Amy Winehouse's Father

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch Winehouse told at her funeral service at Edgwarebury Cemetery in north London, that the Winehouse family believes her decision to stop drinking may have contributed to her sudden death.

He told the mourners that although doctors had told Amy to gradually reduce her alcohol consumption and avoid binging, Amy was not been able to follow that.

Mitch Winehouse revealed that recently his daughter Amy Winehouse who "just completed three weeks of abstinence," told him, "Dad I've had enough of drinking, I can't stand the look on your and the family's faces anymore.”

Despite her three weeks on the wagon, Winehouse was reportedly seen drinking shots of gin mixed with energy drink Red Bull on the Wednesday before she died. On the same night Winehouse was seen joined her goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, on stage at the iTunes festival held at Camden Roundhouse.

Earlier this week a post-mortem report proved inconclusive and no cause of death given. However Police said that they will wait up to four weeks for the results of toxicology tests to prove her cause of death.
