SHARP Launches Android-based Aquos Phone Hybrid 007SH


SHARP, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in Japan, is all set to launch the hottest phone Aquos Phone Hybrid 007SH running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It would be the world’s first clamshell phone to be driven by Gingerbread.

Weighing 140 gm, the Hybrid 007SH is a flip phone with 3.4 inch FWVGA stereoscopic display. It is a 180-degree swivelling touchscreen phone with 16 megapixel rear camera. It has 720p recording mode with the 3D photo and video capability.

Hybrid 007SH has another important feature: it has an IPX5/IPX7 waterproof body.

The phone has an AQUOS TV connector, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, an infrared port, and digital TV tuner. It has also got Digital Wallet function, Blu-ray recorder connectivity.

Hybrid 007SH supports both W-CDMA and GSM connectivity. It has a microSD slot that allows the internal memory to be expanded to 32 GB.

The AQUOS PHONE HYBRID 007SH will become available in Japan through SoftBank from next month. The price is yet to be announced.
