'Love Ka The End' is a fresh urban romantic movie based on revenge in teenage love - if you insist on calling it love.
A billionaire’s son Luv Nanda, a popular guy in Paul’s Junior College bets and tries to play with Rhea’s emotions. Rhea, a sweet, angelic girl who is always with her best friends Jugs and Sonia, falls madly in love with Luv - little knowing his real intentions. However, on her 18th birthday she comes to know the truth and after getting Luv’s cruel gift she vows to settle scores with him. Rhea plots her revenge and avenges her humiliation successfully. She teaches Luv the lesson of a life time. We can't play spoil sport by telling you how she pulls it off, of course!
The definition of love is rapidly changing in India - in urban India, in Metropolitan India. No more do we find a ‘Devdas’; nor do we find some ‘Anarkali' type of story where the protagonists cry their hearts out over betrayal in love. 'Mohabbat ki jhooti kahaani pe roye ..." Aaah, those were the days when people were simpler and love purer. (Rogue elements have always been in vogue, of course!) Here comes a new generation who care nothing about the ‘rona dhona’; instead they go for settling scores - and making a clean break - if they feel their partners are not committed, unfaithful, or do not respect the parter or the reationship. The nonchalance is good in a way, of course - at least in some situations.
Though some scenes in the movie seem to be highly influenced by Hollywood movies, director Bumpy has managed to present a fairly Indian version while successfully bringing some freshness to the movie "Love Ka The End".
The music of the film is catchy and especially the item song ‘Mutton’ is vey sonorous. Most of the young stars have performed well and acquitted themslves admirably well.
"Love KaThe End" is strictly an enjoyable teenage drama and one can have fun if one forgets for a couple of hours that one is an adult; for the average Indian spectator, that may not be a particularly daunting task.
