Samsung Ties up with Airtel for Phone Billing Service

After Nokia, it’s now Samsung Apps offering operator billing support in India. A few weeks ago Nokia’s Ovi Store announced operator billing service for customers in India and now Samsung Apps has announced operator billing support in 12 countries including India.

Samsung Apps will roll out billing support in 11 countries - apart from India - including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Ukraine in Europe and Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia in Asia.

Till now Samsung Apps has allowed credit card billing alone for Indian customers. However, now Samsung Apps offers two easy billing options for customers. Post-paid customers can henceforth pay through their phone bills at the time of purchase; in the case of pre-paid customers, the amount would be deducted from their credit balance.

Customes who do not have credit cards or do not wish to use a credit card for such transactions for whatever reason would find the new payment options very convenient and welcome.

Samsung Apps has tied up with Airtel for operator billing service, whereas Nokia Ovi Store has exclusive partnership with Reliance Communication for the same.

We shall come up with a detiled update as soon as we get further information.
