Maxx Mobiles, an Indian manufacturer of mobile phones, launched Maxx GLO MX388, a gaming phone, yesterday.
The MAXX GLO MX388 comes with 250 preloaded games and dedicated gaming buttons.
The new MAXX GLO MX388 is priced at Rs. 2,361; it shall be made available first in Mumbai and later to other cities in India through MAXX Mobiles' strong distribution network. MAXX mobiles can be found in more than 25,000 retail outlets across India including Planet M, Tata Croma, Hyper City, Star Bazar, Mobile & Gadgets, Indian Naval Canteen, Reliance Web World, NEXT electronics, Kings Electronics and Hotspot.
MAXX GLO MX388 will come with some default games spanning a wide range including Action, Racing, Puzzle, Adventure, Fighting, Shooting, and Sports. Some of the preloaded games are Super Mario, Pacman, Race, Trojan and Battle City.
MAXX GLO MX388 has three changeable A-cover shells, a 1.3 mega pixel camera, a free 2 GB memory card, FM radio, and MP3/MP4 player. The external memory can be expanded up to 8 GB. The phone is JAVA enabled and has Bluetooth for connecting with other devices. The battery has a capacity of 800 mAh.
Currently Mobile gaming is a very popular and vast market in India with 2.8 billion users. A survey conducted by FICCI-KPMG Indian Media and Entertainment Industry projects that the market would expand upto 45% by 2015.
