Tata Nano’s dream run continues. After successful overseas launch in Srilanka, now Tata Nano is all set to roll out in Nepal’s road. Tata Nano’s three popular versions Tata Nano Standard, Tata Nano CX and Tata Nano LX has launched in Nepal yesterday. However Nepalese customers will have to pay almost three times more than Indian customers for world’s cheapest car. It would cost about Nepalese Rs 8,00,000 (approx Rs. 5 lakh) after an addition of customs duties and insurance charges. In India Tata Nano priced at Rs 1,51,000 including taxes.
Tata Motors' International Business Head Johny Oommen said, “The car with its comfort, performance and manoeuvrability will prove to be an ideal car for the discerning customers of Nepal and will win their hearts.”
Tata Motors has tied up with Sipradi Trading for exclusive distribution of Tata Nano in Nepal. Also to give customers financial support ten commercial banks have tied up with Sipradi to provide financing for the purchase of the vehicle.
The booking of the car has already started in all major cities including capital Kathmandu with Rs. 10000/- as deposit money.
